Jose Mourinho deprived the press of the iconic picture they wanted today, as he left the training ground covering his face after getting the sack.

The press pack had gathered outside Cobham with cameras at the ready, just waiting for a stricken-looking Mourinho to emerge and give them a front page picture.

But in what may have been a Darth Vader tribute (Star Wars is out today), Mourinho covered his face with a black hood, as he was chauffered out of there, for the final time, as the ousted Chelsea manager.
